Full-time Description Purpose
The Human Resources Generalist supports various HR functions within the company, ensuring the effective management of talent and fostering a positive working environment. Serves as a resource for both the employees and leadership.
Tasks Employee Relations- Address employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances in a timely and confidential manner.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and disputes. Provides guidance as deemed necessary.
- Provides training to managers on employee relations issues and how to prevent and resolve.
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including employee files, HRIS data, and other documentation. Ensure privacy of all information.
- Oversee development and implantation of personnel policies and procedures, prepares, and maintains employee handbook.
- Work directly with legal team on federal, state, and local legal requirements and maintain compliance accordingly.
- Processes garnishments, incident reports, workers comp, and handles investigations and disputes of unemployment claims.
- Collaborate with benefits provider and administrators to resolve issues and administer benefits programs effectively.
- Assist employees with inquires related to benefits programs such as health insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Assist with compensation program, providing fair and equitable data and advise.
- Support initiatives to promote employee engagement, morale, retention, turnover, and overall satisfaction.
- Organize employee events, recognition programs, bi-annual surveys, and other activities to foster a positive work environment.
- Coordinate the recruitment process, including all job posts, job fairs, OSC resume screening and interview schedules, and conducting background checks.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new hire orientations and onboarding.
- Trains operations team on proper and effective interviewing skills.
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance management programs including talent assessment, performance appraisals, and goal setting.
- Supports managers in addressing issues and implementing corrective action plans.
- Works directly with insurance carrier and operations to identify potential workplace hazards and risks through regular assessments and audits.
- Develop and implement strategies and training to mitigate risks and promote a safe working environment.
- Administer workers’ compensation programs, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies.

- Proficient in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other HR software applications.
- Strong business acumen related to business operations, goals, and strategies.
- Familiar with relevant regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of risk assessments and management principles.
- Strong vendor management including contract negotiation, selection, and evaluation.
- Strong ability to think strategically and analytically, anticipating future needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills essential for interacting with end-users. Strong communication skills.
- Strong multi-tasking skills; must manage responsibilities under strict deadlines.
- Work independently to resolve issues and communicate with the appropriate person or department.
- Strong ability to protect confidential information.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
- 2+ years of HR experience required
- HR certification preferred.
- All candidates considered for the position will be required to successfully pass a criminal history background investigation.
- Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook and job‑specific training guides.
- Meet physical requirements as dictated by the job, standing, walking, lifting (40 pounds), stooping, and carrying (25 pounds).
