Job Summary:
The Career Navigator is responsible for working with Goodwill Career Academy graduates, providing career assessment, career pathing, leading job-search activities, resume development, and application assistance. Provides tailored job leads aligned with individual career goals and certifications to Career Academy graduates. Tracks and records graduate outcome data, including placements, benefits, and documentation related to State barrier-removing funding and services. The Career Navigator also builds and maintains a network of corporate talent acquisition contacts to directly refer clients for related job openings.
Refers clients to internal/external supports. Assists in fulfilling annual goals as outlined in departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Bilingual skills preferred. FULL-TIME POSITION ELIGIBLE FOR BENEFITS.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Reviews and is familiar with Company safety policies, programs, and procedures. Adheres to all safety rules, regulations, and safety codes, and attends safety training sessions and safety meetings.
- This position requires excellent communication skills, a high degree of flexibility, and a genuine desire to assist clients and employers with inquiries. An ability to read and interpret documents is required. The ability to write reports is required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements:
- An undergraduate degree or specialized training in business, education, vocational education, rehabilitation services, psychology, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in job development or job placement is a plus. Bilingual abilities are a plus (but not required). Demonstrated aptitude with Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Other Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, with a good driving record.
- Must maintain appropriate requirements for legal vehicle operation, including current automobile insurance inspection and license plate.
- Must be eligible for a positive outcome on the required criminal conviction background check.
- Must maintain compliance with Goodwill’s Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy.
- Goodwill considers this a safety-sensitive position because it includes tasks or duties that Goodwill reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employee or others.
- Lifting/Carrying/Pushing/Pulling:
Light Work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects or walking or standing to a significant degree.
