What You Will Do:
- Partners with HR Operations, Payroll, and technology teams to improve HRIS benefits and absence modules, data quality, integrations, carrier feeds, automation, controls, reporting, and user experience.
- Provides strategic oversight for H&P's U.S. Health and Welfare, 401(k) and pension plans, including governance, vendor coordination, audits, fiduciary support, administration, participant experience, and leadership reporting.
- Manages broker, consultant, carrier, TPA, recordkeeper, administrator, and vendor relationships, including expectations, escalations, implementations, service delivery, performance, and compliance.
- Supports benefits for U.S.
-based international assignees in alignment with global mobility and Total Rewards objectives. - Ensures strategic recommendations are compliant with U.S. federal and statutory requirements
- Leads U.S. benefits communication and open enrollment strategies across digital and employee-facing channels to improve understanding, engagement, utilization, and decision-making.
- Prepares benefits materials, recommendations, renewal updates, financial analyses, and governance updates for leadership, Benefits Committee, and Board meetings, as needed.
- Identifies opportunities to improve administration, processes, controls, reporting, risk management, employee experience, and broader Total Rewards priorities; performs other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree:
Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related field, or 10 years experience in lieu of degree. - 7+ years of progressive U.S. benefits, Total Rewards, HR, or related experience, including health and welfare, retirement, leave, wellbeing, compliance, plan design, financial stewardship, and employee experience.
- 5+ years proven leadership and development of direct reports in a benefits or Total Rewards environment.
- Experience leading U.S. benefits initiatives from strategy and design through implementation, including renewals, open enrollment, plan design changes, vendor transitions, compliance updates, governance, communications, change management, adoption and continued optimization.
- Experience managing U.S. benefits vendors, brokers, consultants, carriers, TPAs, recordkeepers, and administrators, including renewals, RFPs, implementations, service delivery, performance, and escalations.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. benefits compliance, including ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, Section 125, 5500 filings, nondiscrimination testing, plan documents, SPDs, required notices, fiduciary governance, and related federal and state requirements.
- CEBS, CBP, SHRM, or related U.S. benefits/HR credential preferred.
- Strong communication skills, including clear recommendations, renewal summaries, financial analyses, Benefits Committee materials, Board updates, and leadership briefings.
- Advanced financial and analytical skills, including medical and pharmacy trend, claims, utilization, stop-loss exposure, contribution strategy, retirement plan performance, vendor fees, ROI, and plan value.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required
- Experience with Workday, Power BI, AI, benefits administration platforms, carrier interfaces, retirement systems, leave platforms, and digital communication tools preferred.
- Technology mindset, with experience using systems, automation, analytics, data feeds, and digital tools to improve administration, employee experience, data quality, and controls.
- Ability to measure plan effectiveness, claims and utilization trends, employee engagement, vendor performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic adjustments.
- Strategic leadership examples include annual benefits strategy, medical or pharmacy plan redesign, contribution strategy, 401(k) and pension governance, leave administration, open enrollment modernization, vendor performance, and digital employee support.
