A manufacturing company with domestic and international operations is seeking a Human Resources Manager to support its workforce and strategic planning efforts. This individual will work closely with internal teams and external HR service providers to ensure talent acquisition, performance management, employee development, and incentive compensation programs are effectively implemented. The Human Resources Manager will partner with organizational leaders to strengthen company culture, employee engagement, and operational performance.
- Develop, update, and implement employee handbooks, HR policies, and procedures.
- Lead talent acquisition, workforce planning, hiring, and employment agreement negotiations.
- Develop and deliver HR initiatives that improve employee performance and engagement.
- Administer payroll, retirement, and employee benefit programs in partnership with external vendors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws, including ERISA and EEO requirements.
- Develop and manage an annual performance management process that aligns employee goals and compensation with organizational objectives.
- Administer incentive compensation plans and oversee calculations and processing.
- Develop and manage training programs that support employee development and career growth.
- Maintain HR information system records and prepare HR and payroll reports.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop effective talent sourcing and recruitment strategies.
- Lead the HR strategy, budgeting, hiring, and communications associated with major operational or facility transitions.
- Interpret and administer applicable collective bargaining agreements.
- At least eight years of HR management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR practices.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to synthesize and analyze information effectively.
- Hands-on, proactive working style.
- Ability to build organizational support and alignment for HR initiatives and programs.
- Strong project management skills and a results focused approach.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple HR functions.
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- SHRM CP, SHRM SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
- Experience supporting a private equity backed organization preferred.
- Experience working with a professional employer organization is a plus.
- Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and union represented work forces preferred.
