What will you be doing?

The AI Services Consultant is the consulting pre‑sales partner within each regional AI POD. This role develops, scopes, and positions the consulting services engagements that translate AI strategy into funded project across all AI GTM categories.

This role is critical because AI infrastructure investment decisions are closely linked to the services that enable organizations to unlock AI’s potential business value while managing risk. Increasingly AI initiatives are gated by the customer’s ability to prove value through use cases, demonstrate data readiness, and operationalize AI workloads.

The AI Services Consultant develops and packages the services engagements that remove these gates and accelerate the customer’s path from exploration to production. Additionally, this role develops and positions workforce AI and coding assistant services that represent a high‑growth, high‑attach consulting opportunity.

Success requires a blend of services business acumen, AI use‑case expertise, workforce AI fluency, and the ability to operate in the space between sales and delivery to develop service proposals during the sales cycle, present methodology to customers, ensure clean handoff to delivery teams, and build the next opportunity off the success of each services engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Consulting Services Development & Positioning: develop, scope, and position AI consulting engagements across WWT's full GTM portfolio: AI Factory (design, build, operate), Pre‑AI Factory, Workforce AI, and Coding Assistants.
  • Build the commercial infrastructure that enables fast, accurate proposals — including pricing models, SOW templates, packaged service offerings with defined deliverables, effort estimates, and margin profiles.
  • Service motions span AI security, data readiness and governance, use‑case acceleration, ATC-hosted lab services, and AI Native Engineering.
POD & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Function as an integrated member of the three‑person regional POD (AI Solutions Executive, AI Solutions Architect, AI Services Consultant), contributing to joint pipeline reviews, account planning, and weekly cadence.
  • Attach consulting services to every AI opportunity — whether infrastructure‑ or workforce-led — to create multi‑phase engagement models that deepen account penetration.
  • Collaborate with the AI Solutions Architect to ensure service scopes are technically feasible and transition cleanly to delivery.
  • Embed with field sales teams to surface opportunities and present consulting value proposition during competitive evaluations where services differentiation is the deciding factor.
AI Factory Justification & Consumption Acceleration
  • Develop business case models, TCO analyses, and consumption forecasts that justify GPU/compute investment in measurable business outcome terms.
  • Design ATC-hosted lab engagements (POCs, benchmarking, reference architecture validation) that de‑risk AI Factory decisions.
  • Track consulting attach rates and delivery outcomes to demonstrate the link between services engagement and downstream infrastructure consumption.
Workforce AI & Developer Productivity Services
  • Scope and position developer productivity assessments, coding assistant vendor evaluations, pilot program design, adoption metrics, and AI-generated code governance frameworks.
  • Develop enterprise copilot readiness assessments, workflow automation road maps, change management programs, and workforce AI ROI dashboards.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the competitive landscape including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Git Hub Copilot, Google Gemini, Service Now AI agents, and emerging platforms.
Delivery Handoff & Quality Assurance
  • Own a clean pre‑sales-to-delivery transition by documenting scope, customer expectations, deliverable specifications, and resource requirements.
  • Participate in scope reviews and risk assessments to protect services margins and prevent over‑commitment.
  • Capture delivery learnings and customer feedback to iterate on service packages and build additional pipeline from each successfully completed engagement.
