- Install, configure and setup SQL high availability options (DB clustering, DB Mirroring) on-prem.
- Manage and monitor the SQL databases on Azure Cloud, SQL Always-On and Clustering.
- Configure, manage, monitor, and maintain database server performance, health, availability, and security.
- Upgrade and migrate the MS SQL databases for PLM activities.
- Analyze the SQL databases for performance tuning recommendations.
- Refresh lower environments as needed by other teams to facilitate testing and development.
- Manage and monitor backups to prevent loss of data in the event of a catastrophic failure.
- Setup SSL encryption on MS SQL server environments using third party certificates.
- Develop infrastructure, infrastructure tools, and documentation during project phases.
- Provide application administration and deployment support to the application teams during project phases.
- 7+ years of experience working with MS SQL Server database platform (Azure and on-prem)
- 5+ years of experience in the installation, administration, PLM, migration, and patching of MS SQL servers on Windows and Linux operating systems.
- 5+ years of experience working with medium to large SQL environments.
- 5+ years of experience providing support with MS SQL server 2012/14/16/19.
- 3+ years of experience working with different database technologies (MySQL and Postgre
SQL), and database architecture designs for stability and high availability. - 3+ years of experience supporting and managing Azure Managed instance and Azure SQL database.
Skills:
- Experience in migrating MS SQL On-Premise databases to Public Cloud.
- Proven ability to develop automation using Power Shell or Chef.
- Hands-on PLM experience migrating database to SQL 2019/22.
- Experience in the installation and configuration of MS SQL server.
- Health Care Industry experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
