Location:

We’re fully remote and welcome candidates from anywhere in the US. We have occasional company offsites to meet in person and collaborate on key initiatives.

Role Summary

Lead Product Designer to own the end-to-end design process for critical Cortex product surfaces. You will define user experiences, conduct research, and translate complex engineering problems into intuitive interfaces. This is a key role where you will drive the design vision and execution for major features.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the design vision
    :
    Lead and execute the design strategy for major product initiatives, setting a standard for design and user experience at Cortex.
  • Elevate product quality and UX flow
    :
    Identify and resolve complex UX issues, streamline core workflows, and improve usability and polish.
  • Design system ownership (Figma focus):
    Own the design system and component library in Figma, including specification, documentation, and governance. Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strategic prototyping and testing
    :
    Design, plan, and run high-fidelity prototypes and user testing to validate concepts and inform design direction.
  • End-to-End feature delivery
    :
    Manage the design process from concept through wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and handoff. Ensure features meet a high bar for UX in collaboration with PMs and Engineers.
  • Maintain exceptional craft
    :
    Deliver attention to detail to ensure consistency and a polished user experience.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Product Designer with complex B2B/enterprise SaaS background; experience with developer tools and startup experience is a plus.
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end design projects with measurable business impact.
  • Expert proficiency with Figma, prototyping tools, and user research methodologies.
  • Experience owning and scaling a comprehensive design system and component library.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates solving challenging user problems with craft and attention to detail.
  • Passionate about creating beautiful, useful interfaces guided by user feedback, with strong decision-making in ambiguous situations.
  • Starting Salary Range
    : $190k – $220k
  • Competitive equity package
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience as a Product Designer for complex B2B/enterprise SaaS products
  • Strong design leadership and end-to-end project experience
  • Fluent with Figma, prototyping, and user research
  • Demonstrated ability to scale a design system and component library
  • Portfolio showcasing problem-solving, craft, and impact
