Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) seeks an Enterprise Architect to join our global Information Technology (IT) capability. The role is essential to our strategy of improving business performance through technology and improving profitability. The position can be based in Houston, TX;
Tulsa, OK; or Wichita, KS, and requires occasional travel. VISA sponsorship is not available.

As a member of the Enterprise Architecture team a primary focus is to engage with IT and business teams to drive solution design for transformation initiatives, ensuring best‑practice architecture throughout the design process. The role demands strong business acumen, effective communication, and the ability to lead complex solutioning efforts.

• Partner with IT Leaders, Solution Delivery, Product, and Data teams to recommend technology solutions for business transformation and lead the technical solutioning process to build detailed blueprints.
• Consider the enterprise picture as part of solution design to produce architectural blueprints aligned with the IT vision and strategy.
• Leverage expertise across multiple technical domains (Software Engineering, Application Review/Selection, Security, Networking, Cloud Infrastructure, etc.) as part of the solutioning process.
• Lead architecture review board; develop and align architecture strategies across KES organizations.
• Present current‑state to future‑state architecture alternatives to business leaders, describing marginal value and connecting to business outcomes.
• Experiment with new solutions to solve emerging problems.
• Execute on initiatives beyond “box drawing” and deliver practical, operational outcomes.
• Partner with finance to build economic “Bet” models for strategic solutions, determining a value range.

• Experience with modern cloud-based platforms and tools (AWS, Microsoft, Salesforce, SaaS vendors).
• Familiarity with event‑driven architectures, microservices, analytical concepts, AI concepts, and cloud technology & services.
• Proven experience communicating technology in both detailed execution and high‑level concepts to varied audiences.
• Demonstrated capability partnering with customers to understand business and operating models, then developing proposals for technical architecture or process solutions.
• 5+ years’ experience in Information Technology.

• Experience supporting discrete engineering & manufacturing.
• Experience with enterprise architecture platforms (e.g., HOPEX, Bizz Design, LeanIX).
• Understanding of the fundamental architecture of GenAI.
• Experience with conversation & action AI agent platforms.
• Technical experience with serverless cloud technology tools and services (e.g., S3, Azure Blob, SaaS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Event Bridge, DynamoDB, API Gateway).
• Experience with PLM, Engineering (CAD tools), or Planning platforms.
• Experience with event‑driven architectures and microservices.
• Experience with analytical concepts (Data lakes, Graph Database Technology, Data Warehousing) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, Fargate, AKS).
• Experience with Dev Ops methodologies, processes, and tools (CI/CD, Git Hub, Lean, Azure Dev Ops).
