The SCADA Systems Analyst role supports the validation and functionality of SCADA and HMI systems by ensuring accurate communication between control systems and field devices. This position works closely with operations, control personnel, and technical support teams to verify system performance, document testing results, and help maintain reliable operational readiness.
What are the responsibilities?As a SCADA Systems Analyst, you will:
- Verify communication and functionality between SCADA interfaces, HMI applications, and field equipment such as RTUs and PLCs.
- Perform testing activities to confirm system inputs, outputs, and control signals are operating correctly.
- Collaborate with control staff, field personnel, and technical support teams to coordinate validation schedules and testing efforts.
- Track, document, and report testing outcomes, issues, and corrective actions using established procedures and tools.
- Investigate and escalate communication, configuration, or data-related discrepancies identified during system validation.
- Ensure systems meet operational standards and compliance requirements before deployment.
- Contribute recommendations to improve validation processes and overall system performance.
- Experience working with SCADA platforms, HMI applications, and pipeline control environments.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to perform repetitive technical validation tasks while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work across both technical and operational teams.
- Strong organizational abilities and experience coordinating multiple activities and stakeholders.
- Ability to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and support resolution efforts.
- Familiarity with pipeline operations or control room environments is preferred.
- You excel at maintaining focus on critical projects and consistently deliver accurate results under demanding conditions.
- You enjoy digging into the details, understanding how individual components impact larger systems, and ensuring everything works together effectively.
