Job Title: Buying Center Analyst
Location: Tulsa, OK - W. 7th St. (May also reside in Tulsa, OK or Levittown, PA)
Schedule: Monday‑Friday (Hybrid)
SummaryAirgas is hiring a Buying Center Analyst to design, analyze, test, and support procurement processes within SAP, Business Warehouse, and Blue Yonder for the Hardgoods business unit. The primary focus is to support Buying Centers with data, reports, and system enhancements.
Responsibilities- Prepare monthly analysis of retail and non‑retail equipment consumption, inventory values, and days on hand for the VP of Hardgoods.
- Create and maintain weekly divisional material master databases used to support procurement decisions by the Director of Purchasing and Buying Center Managers.
- Facilitate purchasing alignment by preparing monthly regional databases for plant performance analysis.
- Cultivate and support the bolt‑on and retail equipment signup database, providing maintenance, performance analysis, and SAP validation.
- Perform regional and distribution center cost analysis for large‑volume Hardgoods purchases and write‑offs.
- Connect with management and end users to define technical specifications for system enhancements and deliver performance testing.
- Plan, coordinate, prepare, and submit scheduled and ad‑hoc reports to support procurement and inventory control.
- Define and advance reporting processes using SAP (SE16/SQVI), Business Warehouse, and Blue Yonder.
- Create and maintain written documentation for scheduled reports, processes, and solutions.
- Research SAP core functionality to satisfy management analysis requests.
- Document SAP data structures, relationships, formulas, queries, and Visual Basic code.
- Provide workload balance analysis for Buying Center personnel and distribution center order fulfillment.
- Work independently and collaboratively, applying trust to guide meaningful decision‑making.
- 1+ years of experience in an analyst function, preferably in an application support role.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Access, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines as an individual contributor and team member.
- Creativity and innovation encouraged.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required (limited).
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Power BI.
- Knowledge of SAP T‑Codes SQVI (query structure) and SE16.
- Familiarity with Blue Yonder or other supply‑chain software.
- Foundational knowledge of SQL and/or Visual Basic.
