Schedule
Monday to Friday
ShiftNight Shift (8 PM to 5 AM)
Qualifications and Requirements- Basic office skills (MS Office, email, MS Teams, etc)
- Willing to do shift work
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Some level experience in a data center environment
- Cabling
- Cat 6
- Multi-mode fiber
- Single-mode fiber
- Installation and use of structured cabling
- Patching
- Experience with server and network hardware
- Dell
- HPE
- IBM
- Cisco
- Aruba
- Palo Alto
- Basic understanding of hardware such as physical installation, upgrading internal components, basic troubleshooting, etc.
- How to configure out-of-badge interfaces on the hardware (i.e., ILO, iDRAC, connecting to a serial console)
- Understanding of carrier circuits and working with Telcos and circuit cross-connects
- Media management is a plus (tape rotations and offsets with a provider like Iron Mountain)
- Basic understanding of data center layouts (hot/cold aisle), power infrastructure, cooling, and physical security (facility experts not required)
- Understanding of basic change and incident management and tools (Service Now, Client Service Manager)
