IT Systems & Network Administrator

American Power Innovations, a well-established electrical manufacturer of E-Houses and skid mounted equipment is seeking qualified candidates for the position of IT Systems and Netowrk Technician. The IT Systems & Network technician is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization's server, network, cloud, and end-user computing environments while also helping support day-to-day operational IT needs. This position serves as a technical escalation point and plays a key role in ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations.

• Administer Windows Servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Configure and maintain switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, and network security.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Entra , and endpoint management solutions.
• Support virtualization platforms, backups, disaster recovery, and infrastructure projects.
• Troubleshoot complex servers, network, and application issues.
• Maintain IT documentation and security best practices.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support when necessary.

• 3+ years of systems administration and networking experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.

• Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Engineering is preferred.
• 5 years of experience desired
• Need to understand basic networking/ethernet, Office
  365, Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012 R2, and VPNs
• Knowledge of and prior experience working with Microsoft products including but not limited to current operating systems, software, and applications.
