Do you enjoy troubleshooting equipment, helping customers succeed, and getting out from behind a desk? Are you the type of person who loves figuring out how things work and sharing that knowledge with others?
At Mc Elroy , we're looking for a Field Support Specialist who is eager to become a trusted technical expert for our industry-leading fusion equipment. In this role, you'll travel to customer sites, solve real-world challenges, provide hands-on training, and work alongside an incredible team dedicated to customer success.
No two days are the same. One week you might be helping a customer diagnose equipment issues in the field, and the next you'll be supporting technical training, assisting at industry events, or sharing valuable insights that help improve our products and services.

What You'll DoBe the Expert in the Field- Travel to customer locations to provide technical support, troubleshooting, equipment service, and operational guidance.
- Work directly with customers, channel partners, and internal teams to prepare for successful field visits.
- Diagnose equipment concerns and help identify practical solutions that keep customers productive.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and next steps clearly and professionally.
- Document field observations and create detailed reports that help drive continuous improvement.
- Share recurring trends and technical insights with Engineering, Quality, Product Support, Training, and leadership teams.
- Support service training programs through McElroy University.
- Assist with technician assessments, workshops, and hands-on technical instruction.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of service training materials.
- Bring real-world field experiences into the classroom to make training practical, relevant, and engaging.
- Support trade shows, customer events, product summits, and partner training opportunities.
- Assist with technical support desk responsibilities as needed.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding equipment operation, performance, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Help customers find answers and solutions that create a world-class support experience.
- Travel and work directly with customers across diverse environments
- Become a recognized technical expert on industry-leading equipment
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Product Support, Training, and Sales teams
- Play a key role in customer success and product improvement
- Grow through mentoring, onboarding, and professional development opportunities
