Job Description

Position Purpose

Come serve your state and use your analytical skills to transform the future of healthcare for millions of Oklahomans. Working directly with the Chief Medical Officer, this high-impact role will offer deep hands-on exposure to both Medicaid and Employee/Group Insurance divisions, providing an unparalleled view of the state's rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. You will work to improve healthcare in the state by creating data systems and workflows that are sustainable and forward-thinking, and by finding insights that are actionable and impactful.

We are looking for a candidate who is data-sa v vy, comfortable with navigating large and sometimes incomplete datasets, collaborative, willing to work in-person with colleagues and online with external stakeholders, and flexible, able to balance data-driven insights with stakeholder interests, shifting policies, and the realities of healthcare delivery. This is an in-office position.

Essential Functions May Include :
  • Data Analysis and System Proficiency:
    Demonstrate advanced proficiency utilizing relevant software applications, including databases, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft Office, to query, transfer, organize, and prepare complex data. Compile, analyze, validate , and reconcile data from multiple sources to develop accurate reports, executive dashboards, and other analytical tools.
  • Data Systems and Process Improvement:
    Develop and maintain sustainable data systems, tracking tools, and standardized workflows. Identify opportunities to improve data quality, streamline reporting processes, and increase the efficiency and reliability of analytical work.
  • Analytical Support:
    Evaluate data to identify trends, inconsistencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Translate complex findings into clear, actionable information that supports healthcare programs, operational decisions, and agency leadership.
  • Project Coordination:
    Manage multiple assignments and analytical projects while adapting to changing priorities, policies, stakeholder needs, and available data. Maintain appropriate documentation of data sources, methodologies, and processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Interface professionally and collaboratively with coworkers, clients, providers, agency leadership, and external contractors. Gather information, clarify analytical needs, and effectively communicate critical program information and analytical insights to diverse technical and nontechnical stakeholder groups.
  • Other duties as assigned.
