Senior IT Desktop Technician Pay Rate:
Up to $28.00/hour on W2, depending on experience Work Type:
Onsite – Tulsa, OK 74104
Work Schedule:
Monday
- Friday | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm | Possible Overtime Duration: 6-month contract with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors. Responsibilities
- Performs configuration, installation and/or repairs of PC hardware and peripherals according to established procedures.
- Consults with the end user to define data migration requirements and perform the data migration, if required.
- Provide training and general guidance to other members of the team.
- Coordinate with the desktop architecture team when bringing in new desktop images or when adjusting procedures.
- Adheres to and enforces facility security measures, company safety standards and software licensing procedures.
- Coordinate special requests for distribution to technician I and technician II staff.
- Monitors for trouble tickets and coordinates with appropriate vendors for equipment repair as needed.
- Performs own work and provides assistance to others as directed.
- Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization.
- Error is readily ascertainable by the supervisor and can be corrected.
- Skills are typically acquired through an A+ certification or equivalent.
- 4 years of experience in a PC related field which includes experience in software and hardware configuration.
- A+ / A+ Networking certifications are useful but not required.
- Strong expertise in desktop operating systems and MS Office productivity support.
- Experience with networking support and light server administration.
- Capable of managing inventory and handling hardware/software requisitions.
- Proven history of providing desktop support in a fast-paced environment.
