Description:
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support complex client technology environments. This role serves as a senior technical resource for escalated issues, infrastructure projects, cloud services, cybersecurity improvements, and ongoing managed service delivery. The ideal candidate has strong experience across Windows Server, networking, virtualization, backup systems, Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and modern cloud-based business applications, with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical teams and business users.
Key Responsibilities:- Infrastructure Design & Implementation:
Design, deploy, configure, and maintain client server, network, storage, virtualization, backup, and cloud environments. - Advanced Troubleshooting & Escalation:
Serve as an escalation resource for complex workstation, server, network, Microsoft 365, Azure, and application issues that require deeper technical analysis. - Microsoft 365 Administration:
Configure and support Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, licensing, security settings, mail flow, retention, and collaboration services. - Azure & Identity Management:
Administer Microsoft Entra /Azure environments, including users, groups, conditional access, MFA, identity synchronization, and hybrid identity configurations. - Endpoint & Intune Management:
Configure and support Microsoft Intune, device enrollment, compliance policies, configuration profiles, endpoint security, application deployment, and lifecycle management. - Network Engineering:
Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, wireless networks, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and related network services. - Server & Virtualization Support:
Maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, file/print services, Hyper‑V or VMware platforms, patching, monitoring, and system performance. - Backup, Disaster Recovery & Security:
Support backup systems, disaster recovery planning, endpoint protection, security best practices, alert response, and remediation of infrastructure risks. - Project Work & Client Consulting:
Participate in client projects, migrations, upgrades, assessments, and technical recommendations that improve reliability, security, and operational efficiency. - Documentation & Team
Collaboration:
Maintain accurate technical documentation, communicate project and ticket status clearly, mentor junior technicians, and collaborate with service, project, and management teams.
- Experience:
5+ years of hands‑on experience supporting business IT environments, preferably in a managed service provider or multi‑client consulting environment. - Technical Depth:
Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, virtualization, networking, backup systems, endpoint protection, and business application support. - Microsoft Cloud Expertise:
Demonstrated experience administering Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, Microsoft Entra /Azure, and Microsoft Intune. - Networking Knowledge:
Experience troubleshooting TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, wireless, firewall rules, routing, switching, and internet connectivity issues. - Certifications:
Legacy MCSE certification or current Microsoft role‑based equivalent preferred, such as Azure Administrator Associate, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent experience. CompTIA Network+, Security+, or vendor‑specific firewall/network certifications are a plus. - Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues, document recommendations, and communicate professionally with clients and co‑workers. - Professionalism:
Strong problem‑solving ability, attention to detail, dependable transportation, and the ability to represent the company well in client environments. - Education:
College degree preferred but not required; equivalent technical experience, certifications, and demonstrated engineering capability will be considered.

Salary/Wage: $105K-$135K/yr (Base plus Incentive Pay)
