Mid-Continent Group is seeking a Business Analyst who will serve in a technical role on our Information Technology team.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities- Maintain and update rating tables, databases, and formulas within the underwriting and policy administration systems.
- Create and update commercial policy forms, including ISO and company proprietary forms.
- Research and resolve rating and data issues for Commercial Underwriting.
- Support system projects by helping define business requirements/user stories and assisting with design and implementation.
- Develop test plans, coordinate and perform UAT, and document progress, table changes, and results for compliance.
- Communicate project status with business units, IT, and leadership.
- Serve as a liaison between business units and IT.
- Lead small meetings, prepare agendas, and foster effective collaboration.
- Build strong working relationships across IT, Underwriting, and business partners.
- Perform other related duties.
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- Insurance experience preferred.
- Basic experience working with application data, tables, and testing.
- Familiarity with CGI Ratabase is helpful but not required.
- Strong multitasking, organization, and time‑management skills; able to handle shifting priorities and interruptions.
- Professional communication skills; comfortable interacting at all organizational levels.
