Job DescriptionAs a Property Claims Specialist with OMES you will enjoy:

- Support the Risk, Assessment, and Compliance team.
- Salary up to: $89,999 based on education and experience.
- Property Claim Oversight:
Ensure property claims are completed within the guidelines of the commercial policies to include cost mitigation and appropriateness. Identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities within claim and estimate documentation that do not align with reported claim damages. - Claim Expense Oversight:
Maintain claim financials within RMIS to ensure funds paid to insured do not exceed estimates and work completed is within scope of work for repairs. Ensure financials are reported adequately for FEMA and forensic accounting consultants. - Risk Awareness:
Lead complex claim management with various levels of management within partner agencies and outside consultants fostering a culture of risk awareness throughout the claim process. - Collaboration:
Working closely with various teams to provide strategic insights and support in making informed decisions that minimize risks while maximizing opportunities. - Monitoring & Reporting:
Establishing risk monitoring and reporting systems to track the progress of property claims, providing regular updates to the division leadership and executive leadership. - Continuous Improvement:
Keeping abreast of industry trends and emerging risks to ensure that the approach to risk management is innovative and effective.
- This position works in a comfortable office setting for a large percentage of the work day.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually mild.
- This position requires sitting, standing, bending, crouching.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management, construction project management, risk management, or a related field.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in claims management, construction project oversight, or a related role, particularly within state government or public sector.
- A license in commercial property adjusting.
