Supply Chain / Intl. Trade, Operations Manager, Dispatcher, Logistics Coordination
The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the distribution of inventory to ensure efficient, accurate, and uninterrupted operations. This role ensures that parts and supplies are delivered to the appropriate destinations in a timely and cost‑effective manner to meet both internal and external customer requirements. The Shipping Supervisor manages the shipment of production and service parts materials and provides leadership and supervision to the Shipping Coordinator and Shipping Associates.
Responsibilities- Manage inbound and outbound freight claims, including investigation, resolution, and coordination with carriers and internal stakeholders
- Support trade compliance and supply chain operations through documentation review, record retention, and regulatory reporting activities
- Administer and maintain trade‑related records, including scrap paperwork collection, electronic filing, warehouse archives, and shipping documentation
- Collect, analyze, and report sustainability‑related data to support regulatory compliance and business reporting requirements
- Maintain and update logistics resources, procedures, SharePoint repositories, and carrier information to ensure operational efficiency and data accuracy
- Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and Quality Management System (QMS) documentation to support consistent and compliant business processes for shipping activities
Skills and Abilities
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading shipping, warehouse, or logistics teams or 5 years of experience in a closely related operational role
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehousing, and transportation operations within a manufacturing environment
- Prior knowledge with World Ship, Ship Management or similar application
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field
- Experience utilizing ERP systems, preferably Oracle, for order management, inventory control, shipping transactions, and reporting
- Knowledge of oil and gas industry or a similar industrial manufacturing, distribution, or engineered products environment
