Position Summary
This Scheduler will support the Natural Gas (NG) and Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) commercial teams, providing analytical support to the West Region Y‑Grade and the Natural Gas Scheduling teams. The successful candidate will work closely with traders, schedulers, and business development teams, and have a general understanding of NGL movements in and out of Mont Belvieu. The role requires a self‑starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities- Nominate and schedule pipeline movements through proprietary and third‑party scheduling systems.
- Work closely with the primary Y‑Grade Scheduler.
- Coordinate with MPLX BD on Permian Region NGL to support scheduling of take‑in‑kind opportunities.
- Communicate consolidated NGL volumes from all West Regions with NGL traders.
- Support West Region Natural Gas Scheduling and Natural Gas Trading.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal/external stakeholders and service providers.
- Retrieve, compile, input, and monitor commodity movements daily into complex Excel spreadsheets and the Quorum Gas Scheduling system.
- Ensure accurate reporting of allocation information to internal and external customers.
- Be adaptable, detail‑oriented, and possess strong problem‑solving and analytical skills; strive for process improvement.
- Carry out a wide variety of special analysis and projects.
- Identify and communicate constraints; begin identifying optimization opportunities while learning the regional supply picture.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Two (2) or more years of industry‑related experience required.
- Self‑starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data, identify trends, solve problems, and support sound decision‑making.
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving when managing complex processes.
- Quick adaptation to evolving conditions and goals to support department processes.
