Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager, General Management
We are currently hiring for the role of General Manager,Operations on behalf of our client in the telecommunications industry.
The General Manager, Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the organization to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on leadership across departments such as production, logistics, service delivery, procurement, and customer operations. The GM will work closely with executive leadership to implement long-term strategies that drive business growth and operational excellence.
Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company objectives.
Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and service quality.
Monitor key operational metrics and report performance to executive leadership.
Team & Departmental OversightLead and manage department heads across production, supply chain, admin, and service.
Set performance goals, evaluate progress, and provide coaching and development.
Foster a high-performance culture and teamwork across departments.
Process & Efficiency ManagementOptimize workflows, SOPs, and resource utilization.
Implement lean practices or automation where applicable.
Ensure smooth and cost-effective day-to-day operations.
Prepare and manage budgets for operational departments.
Track and control operational expenses (OPEX) to meet financial goals.
Support revenue enhancement through operational efficiency.
Risk, Compliance & Quality AssuranceEnsure operations comply with legal, regulatory, safety, and company standards.
Mitigate operational risks through proactive systems and controls.
Uphold high standards of product and service quality.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Sales, HR, IT, Finance, and external partners to align objectives.
Ensure timely resolution of operational issues affecting customers or partners.
Represent operations in cross-functional meetings and strategic planning sessions.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field
Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred
Minimum 8–12 years of experience in operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
Strong background in managing cross-functional teams and high-impact projects
Strategic thinking and execution
Strong leadership and team development abilities
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Financial acumen and budget management
Problem-solving and analytical thinking
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with operational tools (e.g., ERP systems, KPI dashboards, lean methodologies)
