As a Landman Sr, you will serve as a project leader on initiatives that require a broad and deep knowledge of land operations, driving success and innovation. You will enjoy the autonomy to manage assignments independently and be recognized for your results, lead exciting projects, and collaborate with a talented team to achieve remarkable outcomes. Responsibilities/Expectations- Leads the strategic analysis, interpretation, and preparation of oil and gas leases and related contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and operational standards
- Oversees and guides the review and resolution of title requirements in drilling and division order title opinions, providing detailed analysis and expert recommendations
- Manages and directs coordination with lease brokers, actively driving land acquisition efforts for exploration and development projects
- Monitors and controls prospect budgets and expenditures, taking full responsibility for calculating working interests and net revenue interests
- Negotiates and drafts complex industry agreements, including joint operating agreements, participation agreements, farm-in/farm-out agreements, and purchase and sale agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Prepares and executes critical supporting legal documents for asset transactions and joint ventures, ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to legal standards
- Other duties as assigned
- Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Land Management, Business, or Finance and four (4) years of related land experience - Preferred:
Master’s degree in Land Management, Business, or Finance and five (5) years of related land experience
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
- Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks in a dynamic work environment
- Achieves results in a performance-driven, team-oriented environment by effectively collaborating with colleagues and contributing to team goals
- Preferred:
Experienced in mentoring, training and developing team members
As a lead or seasoned, independent professional, handles complex land assignments and is usually reviewed only for results. May serve as a project leader on projects requiring a broad knowledge of land operations. Assists in training lower level Landmen.
