Job Description:
The Risk Manager oversees workplace injury cases, claims, and operational risk strategies.. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally with management including Safety and HR to strengthen compliance, improve reporting visibility and data, and sustain long term claim results.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee occupational injury and workers’ compensation programs across multiple states and business locations
Develop and enhance policies, procedures, and governance standards related to claims management and loss prevention
Partner with Operations, HR, Safety, and Finance teams to improve organizational risk performance and claim outcomes
Supervise, delegate claims processing and evaluate the performance of one Worker’s Comp/Safety administrator
Manage escalated, high-exposure, or litigated claims and provide strategic guidance on resolution approaches
Analyze claims trends, reserve activity, and financial exposure to support forecasting and risk mitigation efforts
Collaborate with safety leadership to identify recurring injury patterns and implement preventative initiatives
Ensure compliance with workers’ compensation regulations and OSHA-related requirements across multiple jurisdictions
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in workers’ compensation, occupational risk, claims management, or corporate risk leadership
Experience supporting high-volume, multi-site, or operationally intensive organizations
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required
Professional certifications such as CRM, ARM or similar credentials preferred
