Taft Brown Associates has partnered with a growing behavioral health organization in the search for a Director of Safety Intelligence & Risk Analytics. This executive leadership opportunity is ideal for a strategic, data-driven leader who is passionate about transforming organizational safety through predictive analytics, intelligence, and enterprise risk management.

This role offers the opportunity to build a best-in-class safety intelligence program that proactively identifies and mitigates risk across a large, multi-site behavioral health organization. Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, the Director will play a critical role in shaping organizational resilience, improving workforce safety, and supporting executive decision-making through actionable intelligence.

Position Overview

The Director of Safety Intelligence & Risk Analytics will lead the development and execution of an enterprise-wide safety intelligence strategy that shifts the organization from a reactive approach to a predictive, intelligence-led model of risk management. By integrating operational, clinical, environmental, and external data, this leader will develop real-time insights that strengthen safety, reduce incidents, and enhance organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities Enterprise Safety Strategy
  • Design and implement a comprehensive enterprise safety intelligence and risk analytics framework.
  • Develop centralized governance for safety data and enterprise reporting.
  • Lead the organization's transition to predictive risk management.
  • Develop executive dashboards and KPIs utilizing Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.
  • Integrate data from clinical, operational, incident reporting, workforce, and facility systems.
  • Perform predictive modeling, trend analysis, and risk forecasting.
  • Deliver actionable insights that support executive leadership and operational decision-making.
  • Monitor local, regional, and national threat intelligence.
  • Build collaborative partnerships with law enforcement, emergency management agencies, and community stakeholders.
Operational Safety & Enterprise Risk
  • Lead enterprise-wide risk reduction initiatives informed by data analytics.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness and response planning.
  • Ensure alignment between safety analytics and operational execution across the organization.
Clinical & Operational Collaboration
  • Partner with clinical, operational, quality improvement, and compliance leaders.
  • Align safety initiatives with patient outcomes, workforce stability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Integrate safety intelligence into organizational performance initiatives.
Technology & Innovation
  • Evaluate and implement advanced safety, intelligence, and analytics technologies.
  • Promote data integrity, interoperability, and real-time organizational visibility.
Leadership & Culture
  • Foster a culture of accountability, preparedness, and continuous learning.
  • Develop training programs focused on threat recognition and data-informed decision-making.
  • Translate complex analytics into practical, frontline actions that improve organizational safety.

Qualifications Required
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in risk management, security, intelligence, safety, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience building data-driven or intelligence-based programs.
  • Experience leading initiatives within complex, multi-site organizations.
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and executive communication skills.
Preferred
  • Healthcare or behavioral health industry experience.
  • Background in law enforcement, federal or state agencies, emergency management, or corporate risk intelligence.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of healthcare accreditation and regulatory standards, including CARF, CMS, or related frameworks.
