As an Automotive Parts Counter person, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our automotive service department by managing the procurement, inventory, and distribution of parts and accessories. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and overseeing a team of parts specialists to deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:

    • Maintain accurate inventory records of automotive parts and accessories.
    • Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders as needed.
    • Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and minimize shrinkage.
  • Procurement:

    • Source automotive parts and accessories from suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing.
    • Evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for improvements.
    • Stay abreast of market trends and new products to ensure a competitive advantage.
  • Distribution:

    • Coordinate the distribution of parts to technicians and service advisors in a timely manner.
    • Ensure that parts are correctly labeled, stored, and organized for easy retrieval.
    • Implement efficient processes to streamline the distribution workflow.
  • Team Management:

    • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of parts specialists.
    • Set performance goals and provide regular feedback to optimize team performance.
    • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.
  • Customer Service:

    • Interact with customers to identify their parts needs and provide expert advice.
    • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a courteous and efficient manner.
    • Work closely with service advisors to ensure that parts are available for scheduled repairs and maintenance.
  • Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
    • Ensure compliance with factory policies and procedures.
    • Maintain a clean and organized parts department that meets industry standards.
    • Keep abreast of regulatory changes affecting the automotive parts industry and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
    • Previous experience in automotive parts management or a similar role.
    • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and accessories.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Leadership abilities with a focus on team building and employee development.
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
    • Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record
