Responsibilities
- Provide general management of electrical and/or specialty systems QAQC and Commissioning scopes of work
- Manage commissioning and startup schedules
- Develop QAQC/Cx scope, schedule, and budget
- Review QAQC/Cx estimates with the Estimating Department
- Utilize internal functional groups and monitor project deliverables
- Develop QAQC/Cx safety plans and coordinate with safety departments
- Ensure startup and operational procedures are safely executed and comply with client specifications
- Coordinate daily startup and commissioning activities with clients and affected parties
- Lead QAQC/Commissioning, equipment, coordination, scheduling, staffing, and project manager meetings
- Manage QAQC/Cx issue logs and coordinate issue mitigation and resolution
- Coordinate with third-party testing and commissioning agencies
- Partner with Human Resources on recruiting, selection, employee relations, and related topics for direct reports
- Coach and develop managerial talent
- Select and train team members
- Foster a supportive environment and provide constructive feedback
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical training/experience
- 5 years of Project Management, Construction Management, Project Engineering, or Commissioning Management experience
- 8 years of commissioning/start-up experience for electrical and/or mechanical systems
- Experience leading commissioning/start-up activities for construction projects exceeding $25MM in contract value strongly preferred
- Relevant industry experience in Mission Critical, Industrial, and Commercial environments
- Proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in Google G-Suite
- Knowledge of the electrical construction trade preferred
- Willingness to travel 75–100%
- Ability to work Monday–Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and at any time on any day of the week as business needs require
- Successful completion of a background check and drug test
Demonstrates expertise in managing QAQC and commissioning processes for electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with client specifications and safety standards. Proven ability to lead project teams, develop schedules and budgets, and coordinate with various stakeholders in high-value construction projects.
