Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Furnace Operator to join the Heat Treat Division in Tulsa. The Furnace Operator plays a critical role in monitoring heat treat processes, ensuring production schedules are met, and maintaining accurate documentation while working in a high-temperature manufacturing environment.

What the Furnace Operator Will Be Doing
  • Monitor furnace process indicators including time, temperature, and atmosphere
  • Process product according to the production schedule to meet customer requirements
  • Minimize downtime and gap time between furnace loads
  • Document all processing data on shop orders and furnace charts
  • Fixture furnace loads to achieve required metallurgical results
  • Monitor furnace mechanical operation and perform basic preventive maintenance as needed
  • Maintain safe and efficient furnace operations at all times
Required Qualifications for the Furnace Operator
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–2 years of metalworking or manufacturing experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work in extreme high-temperature environments
  • Strong time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing setting
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in extreme high and low temperatures
  • Frequent standing for extended periods
  • Regular use of hands, arms, and manual dexterity
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
