Overview
Summary: Produces machined wood items by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies. Bearwood Concepts, Inc. is an architectural millwork company specializing in the design and manufacturing of store fixtures for big box retail, specialty retail shops, restaurants, fitness centers, education, and medical facilities. We also manufacture and install millwork for commercial projects.

Hours: 4/10s from Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed.
Responsibilities- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
- Interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Setup and operate a wide variety of woodworking tools and machines.
- Measure, shape, adjust, trim, and sand parts and joints to make parts fit snugly.

- Maintain quality and safety standards.
- Respond appropriately to requests for routine information and communicate clearly and promptly.
- Ability to formulate basic questions relevant to clarifying a problem, topic, or issue.
- Choose the correct PPE, methods and tools and equipment to carry out the job.
- Work with others to improve safe working practices and the environment.
- Demonstrate a flexible, positive ‘can do’ approach to delivering team results.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
Preferably 1–3 years woodworking and 1–3 years CNC machining of cabinets and sub-assembly components.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use and interpret a tape measure using 1/16ths.
Physical DemandsMust frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds up to 75 pounds. Employee frequently required to stand; use hands, fingers, handle, reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk and hear.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
