POSITION SUMMARY

The Delivery Coordinator (Delco) is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of products and for communicating statuses and delivery plans to the Customer Service Representatives and the Delivery Assurance Manager. They are the main point of contact for internal customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate and direct internal and external customer orders through the manufacturing process.
  • Respond to delivery related or product related inquiries as needed, including direct communication with plant operations, shipping, and quality.
  • Engage daily with the Delivery Assurance Manager to identify delivery risks, barriers and delivery status.
  • Identify obstacles early, work to resolve impediments, and raise escalation when needed.
  • Participate in resolution of process flow routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain delivery schedules to ensure timely completion and communicate clear status updates through tools to upstream customers.
  • Work closely with site operations to ensure stable workflow of orders, priorities, and stock management, communicating directly with Master Schedulers, Materials Managers, and Central Planning Manager.
  • When required, schedule production using site scheduling tools, adhering to capacity and site limitations, and coordinate with master scheduler for timely release and correct flow of production orders.
  • Participate in cross‑functional discussions in delivery clinics to identify root causes and prioritize corrective actions.
KEY DELIVERABLES
  • Update Horse blanket Past due + 4 weeks (eventually to 8 weeks).
  • Reduce work orders, cut without a cut slip and split work orders.
  • Put jobs on hold (details, hardware, tools, material).
  • Update Coverage Files and LOBs.
  • Update BP File/SPI File monthly and weekly.
  • Update GTG File daily with root causes and current causes.
  • Identify critical parts and ensure they are identified on the shop floor.
  • Conduct shop floor visits to ensure jobs are moving.
  • Obtain timelines for critical parts when requested by the CSR team.
  • Identify bottlenecks and issues and bring them to daily OBEYA meetings.
  • Handle internal company calls and update Lean DNA.
  • Manage scrap and replace process for internal customers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Candidates without a high school diploma will be required to pass a pre‑employment assessment.
  • Background in a manufacturing environment and Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two‑year college in business, engineering, or materials management required with a minimum of 4 years’ customer service experience in aerospace manufacturing or closely related industry.
  • Alternatively, a high school diploma with a minimum of 6 years’ customer service experience in aerospace manufacturing or closely related industry.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret information in oral, written, and diagram form.
  • Excellent time‑management, organization, prioritization, and project follow‑through.
  • Customer relationship building.
  • Effective independent and team work.
  • Analytical problem solving and decision making.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
    Access experience desired.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Understanding of process flows, lead‑times, and lean principles.
