About the role
As an Auxiliary Operator, you will work in collaboration with our facility control room to operate and inspect various power plant systems safely and efficiently to ensure the operational effectiveness of Reworld’s industrial disposal process.
Responsibilities- Operate and inspect power plant systems in accordance with safety operating procedures, including boilers, air pollution control systems, ash systems, and heavy industrial equipment.
- Monitor and inspect various boiler plant auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, valves, mixers, conveyors, turbine generators, and electrical devices.
- Read and interpret data from meters, gauges and industrial measuring tools to identify trends and/or potential equipment disruptions that impact facility operations.
- Monitor air pollution control equipment.
- Perform various types of material sampling, chemistry testing, and treatment of water, as required.
- Safely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment, including cranes, skid steers, loaders and forklifts.
- Maintain correct levels of refuse-fuel in operation equipment and ensure appropriate refuse mix in designated pits and areas of operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.

- High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred. Reworld offers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
- Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
- 2-3 years of experience operating heavy industrial equipment.
- Walk, stand, sit and climb.
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Work from heights and in confined spaces.
- Qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
- Work consistently in various weather conditions.
Rotating 12- hour days/nights with additional overtime as needed/during outages.

Pay TransparencyReworld is committed to paying its staff equitably. Pay range: $54,100.00 - $71,900.00 USD.
