Centerless Grinder Operator

Schedule:

Monday-Friday

Hours:

8:00am - 4:30pm (8 working hours, plus 30 minute lunch break) Overtime Available Pay Range: $20-$26 hourly Based on Experience Grinder Operator RoleA Grinder Operator operates industrial grinding machines to grind metal parts to designated surface finish callouts. Grinding process include cylindrical, surface, blanchard, and  will ensure the machines are correctly set up, monitor the grinding process and inspect finished products to ensure quality.

The purpose of a Grinder Operator is to use grinding machines to produce finished parts and components from raw materials. This involves setting up and operating the machines, ensuring that all safety protocols are observed, and inspecting the parts for accuracy. The Grinder Operator is also responsible for maintaining the machines and performing basic repairs as required.
Grinder Operator Duties:

Set up, operate and maintain grinding machines

Select grinding wheels and other related tools

Perform quality control checks on products

Operate straightening press

Ensure that safety regulations are adhered to Interact with supervisors and other team members
Grinder Operator Requirements:

Experience with grinding is a plus, but not required

Experience operating manual or CNC machine tools in a shop environment is a plus Ability to take and read measurements (micrometer, calipers)
Good communication skills

Ability to follow instructions

Reliability - commitment to report to work consistently
Grinder Operator

Skills:

Ability to read and interpret machine-ready drawings

Ability to operate a grinding machine, or be able to pick up on training the company will provide

Ability to use measuring equipment

Ability to work with minimal supervision
