Responsibilities
  • Interpret and work from engineering requirements, work orders, blueprints, charts, sketches, work instructions, and technical documentation to manufacture high-quality parts and assemblies.

  • Fabricate assemblies using Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment, while ensuring product and process quality throughout manufacturing operations.

  • Determine and adjust machine feeds, speeds, and work alignment using shop mathematics, charts, graphs, and precision measuring tools.

  • Perform machine proofing for new and revised part programs.

  • Adjust tooling setups and make minor machine adjustments to ensure safe and efficient machine operation.

  • Adapt tooling and holding fixtures to properly orient machine tool cutters and machining fixtures.

  • Perform drilling, countersinking, sealing, and fastener installation using manual and CNC equipment.

  • Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measurement tools, including height gauges, gauge blocks, micrometers, calipers, protractors, and dial indicators.

  • Utilize tooling to assemble components into subassemblies and final assemblies.

  • Verify completed work meets engineering specifications, process requirements, and work instructions.

  • Identify and report discrepancies according to established procedures.

  • Ensure equipment and tooling certifications are maintained per process requirements.

  • Assist in training team members on assembly and installation techniques.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant manufacturing or machining experience.

  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.

  • Background in aerospace or aviation manufacturing.

  • Experience with manual and CNC machining.

  • Knowledge of basic machining principles, including CNC and conventional machining, with G-codes and M-codes.

  • Ability to use a dial indicator to indicate a hole or tooling ball.

  • Strong understanding of shop math and basic mathematical calculations.

  • Experience working with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation.

  • Must be willing and able to work any shift, as needed.

  • Must successfully pass a skills demonstration assessment.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
