NOV Artificial Lift is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team in Tulsa, OK. The position includes assembling and testing ESP equipment and components, with a focus on building gas separators. Candidates do not need prior experience but should have strong mechanical aptitude; up to two years of assembly and testing experience will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities- Assemble ESP equipment and subassemblies, following engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform testing and inspection of assembled equipment to verify quality and performance.
- Operate overhead cranes and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with and actively support the facility’s 6S Program (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety).
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Experience in mechanical assembly and testing of ESP equipment (preferred: up to two years).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work on your feet/stand for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and reach as required for assembly tasks.
- Work performed in a manufacturing environment around moving equipment, tools, and machinery.
- Adherence to all required personal protective equipment (PPE) standards.
