Overview
AID builds UL508A industrial control panels. In this role, you will be overseeing the entire manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to lean manufacturing principles. Your role will be pertinent in driving operational excellence, meeting on time delivery targets, and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Production planning and executing the schedule.
- Developing and implementing production schedules to meet customer demands.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion of work.
- Utilize lean manufacturing techniques to minimize waste.
- Establish and maintain quality processes and standards throughout manufacturing.
- Lead RCA and CAR to address quality problems.
- Manage and motivate production team.
- Provide coaching and training to production team.
- Promote a safe working environment adhering to all safety processes and procedures.
- Oversee lineside inventory and assist in improving processes.
- Collaborate with supply chain in order to streamline builds in manufacturing.
- Ensure sales is informed of any delays or issues as soon as they arise.
- Work with Sales on a forecasting schedule to properly staff manufacturing.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and customer focus.
- Will be responsible for 6-10 leads and 40-80 employees in the organization.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing facility
- Prior experience in a managerial role
- Prior experience with lean manufacturing and a 5S program
- Bachelor s degree in an engineering discipline preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Effective planning, problem solving and decision-making skills are essential.
- Lean Six Sigma training preferred.
