Quality Control Inspector II – Oil & Gas Manufacturing

The Quality Control Inspector II is responsible for performing dimensional, visual, and functional inspections to ensure manufactured components meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and quality standards. The role supports oil and gas manufacturing operations and works closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to maintain product integrity and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Perform in-process and final inspections of machined and assembled components
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications
- Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, etc.)
- Conduct inspections in accordance with work instructions, inspection plans, and quality procedures
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
- Identify nonconforming material and initiate corrective actions per quality procedures
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts
- Coordinate with machining, assembly, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
- Maintain calibration awareness of inspection tools and equipment
- Follow all safety, quality, and ISO procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area
- 3+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience in oil and gas manufacturing preferred
- Experience inspecting CNC‑machined parts required
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
- Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
- Understanding of ISO quality systems
- Familiarity with nonconformance reporting and corrective action processes
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaborate cross‑functionally
- Clean, climate‑controlled facility
