Job Summary

The Manufacturing Manager will direct and coordinate day‑to‑day, weekly, and monthly activities to deliver quality products on time and in full, as sales requires. The role follows a standard Monday–Friday schedule (8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.) but supports a 24/7/3‑63 operation, so additional evening and weekend hours may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead safety, quality, and efficiency initiatives to support KPIs (TRIR, CCPM, OEE, etc.) for the production department.
  • Ensure required government and environmental regulations are met.
  • Formulate, implement, inspect, supervise, and control various management systems of the production department.
  • Prepare and conduct team meetings for communication and development.
  • Coordinate with other department leaders (Safety, QA, Shipping & Receiving, Logistics, Maintenance, and Planning) to ensure clear communication and goal alignment.
  • Evaluate performance against production targets and adjust resource allocation to optimize quality and cost efficiency.
  • Identify problems in the production process and guide improvement plans, shift scheduling, overtime levels, and training.
  • Develop and execute the production plan to ensure finished product inventory meets customer demand (OTIF).
  • Ensure the production plan supports scheduled downtime for maintenance PMs and projects.
  • Maintain sufficient production supplies inventory.
  • Manage and analyze the MES system to support OEE and other production metrics.
  • Work with the Plant Director to set strategic goals and vision for the plant.
  • Engage in responsibilities related to food safety and quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Operations Management, or Engineering preferred; or five years related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong written communication skills for reports and correspondence.
  • Effective verbal communication skills before groups of customers or employees.
Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. Occasionally the employee is required to taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
