CompetitivePay
Hourly wage ranging from $24.00/hr. to $30.00/hr., depending on experience and qualifications.
What You'll Do- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, degreasing, sanding, masking, and performing abrasive blasting as needed
- Apply industrial coatings including primers, epoxies, and finishes to pumps, motors, gearboxes, piping, and fabricated components
- Mix and apply paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications and job requirements
- Operate spray equipment, brushes, and rollers to achieve proper coverage and finish quality
- Inspect surfaces and completed work to ensure adherence to quality standards and coating specifications
- Perform Hydrostatic test in accordance with operational procedures and standard practices
- Perform final equipment preparations including but not limited to (Tags, warning labels, and shipment preparation)
- Perform final quality checks of customer equipment
- Perform touch-ups and rework as needed to meet customer and company expectations
- Assist with surface preparation for large-scale rotating equipment and fabricated assemblies
- Maintain paint booths, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and handling of coatings and chemicals
- Collaborate with management, machinists, welders, and technicians to support shop workflow and project timelines
- Document work performed and communicate any issues related to coating quality or surface conditions
- 1–3+ years of experience in industrial painting, coatings application, or a related field
- Experience with surface preparation techniques such as sanding, blasting, and masking
- Familiarity with industrial coatings such as epoxy, urethane, or similar protective systems
- Ability to safely operate spray equipment and other painting tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work in a shop environment around heavy equipment and machinery
- Willingness to follow safety standards and work as part of a team
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as needed in a manufacturing or repair environment
