Aerospace Structural Mechanic II - 2nd Shift
Location: Tulsa, OK
Pay Rate: $25.65/hour
Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Responsibilities- Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures, including drilling and riveting operations, ensuring assemblies meet requirements.
- Perform sheet metal layout, fabrication, and installation of parts and equipment on aircraft.
- Rivet structural assemblies using appropriate tools (e.g., riveting guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, rivet shavers, reamers); remove fasteners without damaging structures.
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations and specifications.
- Cut and form materials and follow standard procedures when using adhesives, sealants, and solvents.
- Inspect and verify all completed work to ensure defect‑free assemblies prior to final inspection.
- Maintain and utilize logs and records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, CRABs, PCOs).
- Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, clamps, and fasteners; shape and form complex configurations per specifications.
- Perform repairs per Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Requests (MRR), and Production Change Orders (PCO).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S and safety standards; use personal protective equipment as required.
- Properly collect and dispose of waste materials (fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, solvents, etc.).
- Ensure accurate daily job charging.
- Communicate and coordinate work between shifts through turnover reports and leadership interaction.
- Assist with maintenance of shop equipment and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
- Support Lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of related structural assembly experience.
- Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Basic computer skills and shop math proficiency.
- Ability to read scales and perform measurements accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and hands‑on mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively and meet demanding schedules.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and housekeeping practices.
- Experience working with composite materials and resins.
- Ability to work any shift as required.
- Ability to climb ladders, stands, and stairs; work in confined spaces; and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
