Machinist
Location:
Tulsa, OK (100% Onsite)
Duration: 3 Months Contract
Pay Range: $20.00 to $21.00 per hour on W2
Shift: 1st shift, 6:00 am-2:30 pm with OT starting at 4 am IF deemed necessary. We cannot guarantee OT hours.
Description
- We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team.
- This role is responsible for independently setting up, operating, and troubleshooting a variety of CNC and/or manual machining equipment to produce precision components that meet quality and production standards.
- Set up and operate CNC and/or manual mills, lathes, and other machining equipment
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to determine machining requirements
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job
- Perform first-article inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments
- Adjust offsets, feeds, speeds, and tooling to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements
- Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Accurately complete required documentation and production records
- 0-3 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in CNC setup and operation (mills and/or lathes)
- Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)
- Ability to read engineering drawings, and perform simple arithmetic calculations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred but not required
