Aircraft Structural Assembly Technician (Entry Level)

Location:

Tulsa, OK

Schedule:

2nd shift Monday - Friday 3PM - 1:30AM

Pay rate: 19.29

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our aircraft manufacturing team as an Entry-Level Structural Assembly Technician. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn aerospace manufacturing processes and develop hands-on skills in aircraft structural assembly. Under direct supervision and as part of a collaborative team environment, the successful candidate will perform a variety of assembly operations while receiving training and guidance from experienced team members.

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED required.

- Entry-level position; prior aerospace manufacturing experience is not required.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on technical work.

- Enrollment in or completion of a Technical Aviation, Manufacturing, or related vocational program is preferred.

- Ability to effectively read, write, speak, and understand English.

- Basic computer and keyboarding skills.

- Strong listening, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Key Responsibilities

Aircraft Structural Assembly

- Perform basic fitting, drilling, and riveting operations under direct supervision and according to company procedures.

- Safely utilize hand and pneumatic tools, including drills, rivet guns, countersinks, reamers, files, clamps, and other assembly equipment.

- Align and assemble aircraft components using fixtures, pins, fasteners, and specialized holding devices.

- Follow detailed work instructions to ensure products meet quality and manufacturing standards.

Quality & Compliance

- Verify that parts and completed work conform to specifications, work instructions, and quality requirements.

- Work closely with Manufacturing Leads, Technicians, and Quality Inspectors to ensure compliance with production standards.

- Adhere to all safety guidelines, policies, and housekeeping requirements.

Learning & Development

- Learn to interpret work orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, and specification sheets.

- Develop proficiency in aircraft assembly techniques through hands-on training and mentorship.

- Gradually perform tasks with increased independence as skills and knowledge are gained.

Additional Duties

- Support team objectives and production goals.

- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Ability to read measuring devices and perform basic shop mathematics.

- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and technical documents.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

- Mechanical aptitude and enthusiasm for hands-on assembly work.

- Professional attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

- Ability to meet production schedules and deadlines.

- Basic proficiency with computer applications and digital work systems.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.

- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and support any assigned shift schedule.
