Position SummaryThe Aseptic Technician will assemble viral and bacterial antigens into final serials.
Hours:
4:30am – 1:00pm. Overtime, weekend, and holidays may be required.
- Assembly of viral and bacterial antigens into final serials.
- Understand and apply excellent aseptic technique as it relates to serial production.
- Understand, follow, and complete process documentation in support of GMP.
- Maintain accurate inventories of bulk fluids and other components.
- Perform environmental monitoring.
- Maintain equipment and facilities in proper working order.
- Understand and follow safety policies as they relate to biological and chemical components and equipment to protect personnel and maintain product quality.
- Assist in preparation of SOPs and validation of procedures.
- Train in all functions of the Assembly department and perform other duties as assigned.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Two years of post‑secondary education with biological coursework desirable.
- Preference given to applicants with relevant experience in biological production and/or aseptic manufacturing.
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills and working knowledge of metric system.
Position Requirements
Exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, noise, live steam, temperature fluctuations, biohazards. Continuous standing and lifting to a maximum of 50 lbs. Weekend and holiday work may be required.
