Position Overview

This position is located at our Center gate facility at 5615 S. 129th East Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Responsibilities
  • Set daily and weekly objectives for production team members to ensure smooth workflow, quality production and on-time delivery.
  • Monitor performance of team members and coach for improved quality and quantity of work.
  • Check inventory and parts availability, assign work according to priority and shipping schedules.
  • Requisition consumables and coordinate machinery or tool repairs.
  • Fill in for supervisor when needed.
  • Effectively communicate during any production shutdown lasting 15 minutes or more.
  • Communicate daily production goals, needs, and issues to supervisor and team members.
  • Support management’s decisions on work schedules, production goals, safety concerns, and process improvements.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities such as honesty, integrity, compassion and engage in listening and understanding skills.
  • Follow directions and ask questions if unsure of instructions.
  • Correct team members positively and timely when needed.
  • Support customers (other departments) in their needs due to schedule changes, inventory discrepancies, team members, production goals, safety concerns, and process improvements.
  • Remain flexible due to ever‑changing schedule and environment.
  • Not authorized to shut down production unless directed by management.
  • Assist in enforcing the attendance policy to the leads and accurately review requests.
  • Adhere to company policies such as the absence policy.
  • Ensure team members’ safety at all times and stop work if needed.

Position Classification

This position is classified as safety sensitive. Due to the use of heavy machinery, power tools, and exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, the role requires heightened awareness and adherence to all safety protocols. Employees must perform duties in a manner that ensures their own safety and the safety of others in the workplace.

Experience Requirements
  • Prior manufacturing experience.
  • Prior leadership experience.
  • If a Chart employee, must have been employed with Chart for a minimum of 6 months.
  • Two years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Professional interaction with all employees, customers, vendors, and visitors.
  • Dependability.
  • Professional, cooperative, and helpful demeanor toward fellow employees, customers, vendors, and visitors.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Fluency in English for reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions.
  • Basic shop math skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Syteline or another ERP system preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred technical or vocational degree.
