CNC Machine Operator
Hourly Rate: $23-30
Job Type: Full-time
Job DescriptionWe are seeking CNC Machinists to help support our operations. Machinists are responsible for producing parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine. Our focus is to help operating machinists adhere to quality and safety standards in addition to completing accurate quality records as per SIS ISO standard requirements.
Responsibilities- Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
- Reads and interprets basic mechanical blueprints proficiently.
- Properly and safely loads and unloads parts and raw material in CNC machinery.
- Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
- Recognizes and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling.
- Understands and has the ability to perform tool wear offsets.
- Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.
- Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and SIS's safety procedures.
- Complies with all quality policies, specification, regulations and instructions.
- Correctly utilizes manufacturing system (Epicor) and perform daily tasks and production workflows.
- Correctly identify basic materials.
- Meets production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity, and quality.
- Participate in required meetings and training.
- 1 year previous machinist experience.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.
- Basic math and conduct conversions to practical situations.
- Able to lift 45 lbs or less in a production environment.
