Mechanical Cable Shop Technician - Skiatook

Job Description Responsibilities

• Assemble and test inbound and outbound job orders.
• Cut, strip, crimp, solder, label and finish cable assemblies using approved tools and procedures.
• Perform continuity, insulation resistance, high‑potential, resistance or other required tests.
• Handle, move and store cable reels, connectors and components to prevent damage.
• Follow all company safety, quality, environmental and operational procedures.
• Load and unload reels of cable and components as needed.
• Move cable reels in the yard to desired locations.
• Operate a forklift.
• Maintain stock and inventory levels, including cycle counting inventory, receiving inbound items and identifying and ordering needed inventory.
• Maintain a clean and organized work and shop area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous forklift operation experience preferred but not required.
• Previous industry experience preferred but not required.

• Ability to operate hi‑pot equipment.
• Maintain a strong safety culture.
• Basic math skills.
• Good listening skills and a passion for learning.
• High work ethic, dependability and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be a team player.
• Must be open to cross‑training opportunities.
• Ability to work in a non‑climate‑controlled shop.
• Stand up for up to 12 hours daily.
• Walk for up to 12 hours daily.
• Bend or stoop for up to 12 hours daily.
• Perform repetitive movements for up to 12 hours daily.
• Lift weight up to 50 lbs regularly.
