CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

• 2nd shift position:
  Sunday - Thursday, 2 pm - 10:30 pm

• Set up and operate all machining and related equipment in the machine shop area, including horizontal and vertical mills, engine lathe, radial drill press, single spindle drill presses, and a 5-ton hydraulic press.
• Perform drilling, tapping, reaming, boring, counter bore, chamfer, and hole sawing on aluminum and steel components.
• Operate a band saw, plasma cutter (with PLC), 500-ton brake press, and a nibbler for rough cutting.
• Use pedestal grinder for sharpening tools and bits; set up and operate a band saw spot welder station for blade assembly.
• Clean parts and perform surface grinding, form grinding, and tight tolerance holding.

• Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking, and occasional crawling.
• Frequent pushing, pulling, and handling of material.
• Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions.
• Repetitive hand movements during welding operations.
• This position is safety-sensitive and requires strict adherence to all safety protocols.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Industry knowledge preferred.
• 3-5 years of machining experience required.
• Ability to read prints and interpret machining requirements, set up and operate the listed machines, and modify tooling and fixtures.
• Proficient with measuring devices to close tolerances of .000 - .060 inches.
• Strong math skills using decimals and fractions.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Capability to verify that all parts meet specifications.
