Mill Operator

# Mill Operator Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Roll Form Mill Operator.  This position will be responsible for the roll form operations and equipment of the mill to insure continuous operation during the shift.
** This will be a 2nd shift position;
Monday - Friday, 3:00pm to 1:30am.
**** What you will be doing:
*** Safety, quality, priorities above all
* Focus on the keeping the mill operational
* Maintain clean, safe ,organized work area, 5S
* Cross Training of team members on parts programming and mill set ups
* TPM of process and equipment in the area
* Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor
* Perform visual and manual quality checks of finished products.
* Minimize scrap
* Work with maintenance hands on to get issues resolved in a timely manner.
** The skills and experience you need:
**
* Education:

** High school or equivalent

* Experience:

** Experience in using special measuring devices, calipers, tape measure.
* Must be able to navigate, set up equipment controller for proper operation and parts programming.
* Roll Tooling experience with set ups and change over.
* Change out press dies, cut off jaws, blades, and refill oil levels of equipment.
* Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames
* Good Mechanical Aptitude
* Forklift and overhead crane certification
* Experience with Robot programming
* Other:
** Must be able to document down time through seamless reporting system to drive KPI tracking
* Good communication skills with coworkers to insure continuous flow of the mill and material handler for proper tagging of product.
* Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the mill.
* Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities.
