Badger Meter is a global water technology company dedicated to protecting the world's most precious resource. This role contributes to sustainable water solutions through precise, high‑quality assembly work.
Responsibilities- Assemble parts per Work Instructions and drawings, adhering to tolerance specifications.
- Operate hand, battery, electric, and pneumatic tools; use circular saws, deburring tools for modified assemblies.
- Use laser etcher, dot peen etcher, and engraver for customer‑specific modifications (Utility and Flow only).
- Calibrate gas to test sensors (Analytical Technologies only).
- Operate basic printing programs to complete and adjust customer orders as needed.
- Log daily activity in the production system, access work instructions, and track inventory status through LX screens.
- Prioritize tasks, seek additional information from lead or supervisor, and ensure timely completion.
- Participate in safety, quality, delivery, and cost continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Train department peers and apply basic 5S and lean principles to maintain an efficient workplace.
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- Minimum 3+ years in assembly or manufacturing.
- Proficient with gluing and centering to specific tolerances across multiple product areas.
- Ability to use function generators and multimeters for testing.
- Basic computer proficiency, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Collaboration – Work effectively with others across the organization.
- Communication – Clearly convey information and listen actively.
- Initiating Action – Proactively pursue work goals and exceed expectations.
- Work Standards – Set and maintain high performance standards for self and teammates.
- Manufacturing environment with mechanical and electrical tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and complete an audiogram test.
- For Aerospace department: vision, color vision, and depth‑perception tests required.
- Manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina expected; personal protective gear worn throughout the day.
