Fabrication Technician
The Fabrication Technician supports the fabrication and assembly of custom energy enclosure projects used in power generation, oil and gas, and industrial applications. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with tools, building structures, and contributing to a variety of construction and fabrication activities in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities- Fabricate and assemble custom energy enclosures and related structures for use in power generation, oil and gas, and industrial sectors.
- Install metal building components, including wall panels, roof panels, and trim, according to blueprints, drawings, or work instructions.
- Perform accurate measurements and layouts using a tape measure to ensure precise fabrication and assembly.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to cut, fit, assemble, and install materials.
- Assist with construction, fabrication, and assembly tasks in an industrial manufacturing or construction setting.
- Install insulation in commercial or industrial applications as part of enclosure and building assembly.
- Follow mechanical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to complete installation and assembly work.
- Support a variety of construction and fabrication activities, including framing, panel assembly, and mechanical assembly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area while handling large-scale steel components.
- Collaborate with team members and follow direction from experienced fabricators and supervisors to complete projects on schedule.
- Experience with metal building installation, including wall panels, roof panels, and trim.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform accurate measurements and layouts.
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Experience in construction, fabrication, assembly, or industrial manufacturing.
- Experience installing insulation in commercial or industrial applications.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work from blueprints, drawings, or work instructions.
- Capability to perform installation and assembly work in an industrial environment.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in fabrication or metal work is a plus.
- Experience with panel assembly, mechanical assembly, and fitting.
- Familiarity with framing, sheet metal work, and general industrial construction.
- Interest in advancing into welding, fabrication, or supervisory roles over time.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.

WorkEnvironment
This role is based in an industrial shop setting that handles large-scale steel components and a variety of custom projects. The standard schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with opportunities for overtime on Fridays. The environment is fast-paced, hands-on, and strongly safety-focused, with a team-oriented culture and mentorship from experienced fabricators. Projects range from small custom builds to large, complex structures, offering exposure to diverse fabrication and assembly work while working with common construction and fabrication tools and equipment.
JobType & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $24.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
