Moore Digital Print and Mail Center-Tulsa is seeking a dependable and motivated Production Lead to assist with coordinating daily production activities and supporting employees on the production floor.

The Production Lead will work closely with the Production Supervisor and employees to help maintain workflow, communicate job priorities, monitor quality and productivity, and ensure production goals are met. This is a hands-on working lead position and requires someone who is comfortable working alongside the team while providing day-to-day direction.

Job Summary

Safely and efficiently manage the department with assistance of the manager, while properly handling materials and products, meeting production goals, maintaining quality standards, and team objectives. This is an hourly role, and the individual will work on the production line when needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Assistance Manager and Supervisor to oversee the department

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Lead by example, following all company policies, procedures and processes
  • Works safety and maintains an organized, clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Reports safety hazards and work-related injuries to manager or HR immediately
  • Ensure product meets quality standards
  • Coordinates labor coverage for the shift and makes necessary adjustments to meet production schedule, hourly targets and achieve efficiency target
  • Organizes work throughout the shift and assists employees as needed
  • Uses basic problem solving skills to determine root cause and minimize downtime
  • Ensures necessary production material and equipment is available based on production plan
  • Minimizes conflict within the department and encourages open lines of communication
  • Reports problems and concerns regarding safety, quality, equipment and processes to supporting resources and manager
  • Understands product knowledge of all components on the production line.
  • Operates and repairs machines in the production line when needed.
  • Fills in where extra help is needed.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to perform as a member of a team or independently
  • Ability to solve problems using partner resources such as equipment and parts suppliers
  • Ability to identify issues which are impeding efficient production and direct necessary adjustments
  • Ability to identify equipment issues both mechanical, electronic and software, troubleshoot and make both major and minor repairs as required
  • Good math skills
  • Ability to read and write basic English
  • Demonstrated mechanical, electronic and software aptitude
  • Basic computer skills and Attention to Detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to solve problems as they arise.
  • Work effectively in a multi-tasking work environment and prioritize workload
  • Work independently with minimum supervision
  • Interact positively with others within the department and the organization
  • Work overtime, weekends, and holidays
  • Being able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, time management is very important.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3+ Years of Manufacturing Experience preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Required to bend, reach, and move about the facility and lift up to 50 lbs at times
  • Required to stand for long periods of time, bend, reach and move about the facility
  • Required to grip twist and turn both hands for long periods of time

Must be authorized to work in the United States and successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background investigation.
