Skid Builder Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Skid Builder. This position will operate all pallet manufacturing facility tools and equipment in a safe manner while keeping up with pallet demand. This will be a first shift position from 4:00am to 2:30pm Monday thru Thursday over time as required.

What you will be doing:

• Sort and stack pallets according to department requirements.
• Cleanup work area during and at the end of each shift.
• Cut and stack boards to proper length.
• Understanding & usage of the metric system, and tape measure.
• Ability to operate Pneumatic Nail Gun, Forklift and Hand Tools safely.
• Ability to routinely lift 30 pounds.
• Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.

The skills and experience you need:

• High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
• 1 year involved with wood manufacturing processes.
• Familiar with a variety of wood building concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities.
• Must have strong verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work with others in a team environment.
• Positive, willingness to learn and participate in a changing environment.
• Able to maintain a safe working environment that is conducive to productivity.
• Ability to think and react quickly to changing situations and adjust to changing priorities.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Have basic math and mechanical skills.
• Ability to work overtime as needed
